Case study Triply · triply.nz

NZ hosts were paying
global platforms to list locally

We built Triply a holiday rental marketplace made for New Zealand and reached 150+ live properties before the public launch even happened.

The situation

Good hosts. Bad options.

New Zealand property hosts had two choices: pay Airbnb's commissions on every booking, or use a generic platform with no local support, no NZD billing, and no understanding of the NZ market.

Triply's founders saw the gap. Hosts needed a platform built for them their pricing, their billing terms, their payouts without a global middleman taking a cut every time someone books a weekend away.

What we built

A marketplace that gets out of the way

The goal was to make listing a property as frictionless as possible and to give guests a clean, trustworthy place to book in New Zealand.

1

List in minutes, not hours

Hosts add a property manually, paste an Airbnb link to import their existing listing, or connect their property management software. All three paths land in the same review queue.

2

Pick the plan that fits

Hosts with a few properties choose the flat $30/month subscription and pay zero commission per booking. Higher-volume hosts stay on 8%. The platform adjusts billing automatically as properties go live or come down.

3

Connect once, sync everywhere

Hosts who also list on Airbnb or Booking.com connect their calendar in one step. Triply keeps availability in sync automatically so double bookings don't happen.

4

Guests book, hosts get paid

Bookings confirm the moment payment goes through. Payouts land weekly, directly into the host's NZ bank account no waiting, no overseas conversion, no surprises.

Traction

150+ properties before the public launch

Triply reached 150+ live properties during its marketing phase before a single paid ad ran. Host-led, word-of-mouth growth, driven by one thing: a platform that treats NZ hosts as the customer, not the product.

In their words

What the client said

We wanted to give NZ hosts a real alternative and Forgex built exactly that. The platform works, hosts are listing, and we didn't have to explain the NZ market twice.
